In 曼彻斯特's professional sales program, you'll embrace the professionalism of sales in ways that prepare you for sales and non-sales jobs alike. You’ll hone techniques and skills in listening, 同理心, critical thinking, and oral and written communication.  Every business -- large or small, for-profit or non-profit -- needs qualified, professional people adept not only at marketing and selling its products, but also at employing strategies that can help clients solve problems. In the 曼彻斯特 sales program, students are trained as professionals who will be partners with their clients committed to:

  • Students graduate with a distinguished 曼彻斯特 degree and an approach to sales that is distinctive and effective.
  • In the capstone course Case Studies in Business, required of all majors in the College of Business, students organize and operate a business for a semester and then donate their earnings to a nonprofit of their choosing. 曼彻斯特 business students have donated more than $125,510及以上,306 hours of service to various nonprofit organizations.
  • In the spring of 2022, professional sales students entered a national sales competition sponsored by the Florida Press Association and earned six of the top ten spots.

  • Megan Stouder ’17 succeeded in partnering her passion for sports with a career opportunity in sales when she joined the Major League Baseball Arizona Diamondbacks as an inside sales consultant.
  • Peter Shepherd ’18, a baseball standout at 曼彻斯特, also took advantage of the opportunity to study abroad, spending a semester in Germany.  He accepted a position as a business development strategist at INGUARD in Wabash, IN.
  • Alex Clark ' 19 is an inside sales representative with Banner Medical in Warsaw, IN.
  • Nathan Timmerman ’19, a football player who was later sidelined following two shoulder surgeries, is a property claims specialist with Liberty Mutual Insurance in Indianapolis.
  • Christian Smith ’19 played baseball at 曼彻斯特 and was selected to receive the Outstanding 专业 Sales Major award.  He accepted a position as an inside pharmaceutical sales representative with ParaPro in Carmel, IN.
  • Isaiah Knight-Neraasen ’20 played baseball at MU and accepted a position as an outside sales representative with ADP in 韦恩堡, IN.
  • 乔·亨舍尔,21岁, a double major in professional sales and sport management, played baseball at MU and joined the Memphis Grizzlies as a ticket sales representative.
